Team Bahrain Victorious and Merida choose their own path

After nine successful years at the highest level in the WorldTour, the partnership between MERIDA and Team Bahrain Victorious is coming to an end, allowing both parties to focus on consolidating and developing new WorldTour sponsorship strategies.

MERIDA BIKES has been involved with the Bahrain WorldTour Cycling Team Project since its inception in 2017, first as the main sponsor alongside the Kingdom of Bahrain, forming Team Bahrain MERIDA, and later as the technical partner of Team Bahrain McLaren and Team Bahrain Victorious. This marks nine incredible years on the WorldTour stage.

With a long list of achievements, including several victories in cycling monuments, stage wins in Grand Tours, and podium places in the general classification, the Bahrain WorldTour Cycling Team Project and MERIDA can be proud of what we have achieved together. Some highlights include Sonny Colbrelli's victory in Paris-Roubaix and the European Road Cycling Championships, Matej Mohorič's power display on the Poggio descent to claim Milan-San Remo, and of course the title in the UCI World Gravel Championships with the new Silex, as well as the recent podium finish with the new Mission.

But even the most successful stories come to an end, and so in 2025, the collaboration between MERIDA and Team Bahrain Victorious will come to a close.

Everyone at MERIDA is grateful to the Kingdom of Bahrain for the opportunity to be part of this inspiring project and is extremely proud of the many successes the team has achieved. Over the years, this close collaboration between MERIDA and the Bahrain WorldTour Cycling Team Project has formed the basis for the cycling team's achievements.

MERIDA will use the end of its partnership with the Bahrain WorldTour Cycling Team Project to focus on new WorldTour sponsorship contracts in the future.
